Babies are meant to be in your arms. So, why not have your photos that way too?

As a new mum, I knew more than anything that I wanted newborn photos taken of my baby, but I couldn't imagine just how difficult the whole process would be for me. Firstly, the drive there... when I say that we crawled... I mean it. Driving a new baby around is so nerve-racking!!! Then, the heat of the studio was so nauseating! I really struggled with the heat during pregnancies and postpartum period. Lastly, it was hard to hand my baby over to a photographer who I didn't know and watch them take over for an hour while I sat by and waited to be needed to give baby a feed. I did love the photos but... I wanted to hold and bond with my new baby too. I craved having him near me.

So, when I decided to finally launch my photography business, I knew what I needed to do. I knew I wanted to come to you and make your life easier. You don't need to be scrambling to pack a nappy bag while recovering from giving birth. You don't need to be flustered because you've forgotten to pack something. I knew I didn't want to bundle your babies up and place them on a cushion away from you.

What you get at my lifestyle Newborn photography session is:

• to be with your baby... they never have to leave your arms if you don't want them to!
• you don't have to travel
• you've got everything you need right at your fingertips
• you have a space for your older children to play in an environment where they are comfortable
• the shoot happens on your terms. If you need a break, we will take a break. Our sessions have plenty of time available
• your pets can get involved in the shoot
• I will capture the love, excitement and connection of everyone in the family
• your baby doesn't need to be asleep for my sessions. If they sleep, cry, feed, or are contently awake... I will capture the beauty in that.
• no heavy photoshopping. Your babies are perfect as they are. I'll remove the little scratches and milk pimples, and anything that you ask me to... but largely, they are perfect just as they are and I won't be doing heavy retouching on their skin.
